Quiche filled with whatever was in the fridge that day

May 2, 2011

A few days ago I had my sister in law over for lunch. Ended up making a quiche with pumpkin, spinach and swiss brown mushrooms. Finally got the pastry bit right using baking paper and rice to weigh it down when I cook it before the filling goes in.

Really been into cooking lately and love trying out new recipes. Discovered an amazing food blog called http://www.matpaabordet.com/. Unfortunately it’s all in Norwegian, but it contains heaps of recipes I really would like to try out one day. Croquembouche, a French cake often used in weddings, is high up on that list. This cake is also described in the book called “Lunch in Paris” by Elizabeth Bard. Looks quite impressive.
